As the title states, classes started a month ago… and as you can see by the lack of posts, it has taken all my spare time!
Initially, the idea was to take two courses this semester, but it proved to be too much. Adding to that fact that one of the courses wasn’t actually nothing that interested me, I decided to follow with only one course. Even only having only one course this semester, working 40 hours a week and having to spend more time to study is being hard.
Currently, the main objective is to make “Transactional Systems” to the end. After 4 classes I already read eight papers and presented on two of them.
Let’s see how this goes until christmas break!

I received the letter today! And I’m In… Classes start next October 13th. Before starting, I’ll next subscribe the next semester courses.

Yesterday was the last day to deal with subscription issues. My subscription was ready more that 10 days ago, so I continue to way.
On my last check the do-or-die date is scheduled for September, 12th. On that day I hope to have some good news and more paperwork to fill out!
Information of available courses is very few, and news from insiders show some lack of organization! As usual…
I already had all paper work done and delivered. But, there’s always a but, the date was delayed for another week. Now, the Last Call is due on September, 7th!
The only possible thing to do is wait!
According to the latest information the last call is August, 30th 2008. The programme structure is available here.
The next step is to update the Curriculum Vitae, write the Letter of Intent and collect Recommendation Letters.
I’m very excited with the possibility of becoming a PhD student!
